Happy is a place
This concept of place is understood not only as a true physical and self‐ contained space, but also as a possible and ethereal (virtual) territory, in which one can also live even without being there. Places that are detonated by thought, memory, nostalgia, memories, fears and desires.
Happy is a place tooks its title from one of the Domain Poems of the homonym book from Mai Ueda (Osaka, 1978), experimental publication edited from One Star Press in 2007, where the artist writes love poems freely and emotionally as domain names, which the artist considers a new kind of haikus.
The exhibition brought together the work of artist such as Iván Abreu, Balam Bartolomé, Claude Closky, Arcángel Constantini, Gilberto Esparza, Mónica Espinoza, Daniel Guzmán, Liliana Ramales, Rafaël Rozendaal, Jorge Sosa, Miltos Manetas, Mai Ueda and Wyne Veen.
